KUALA LUMPUR : Pribumi Bersatu has denied that its leadership has decided to appoint International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as the deputy prime minister.
Party secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in. a statement today refuted a viral message which claim of Azmin’s impending appointment along with several other decisions allegedly made during the party’s supreme council meeting on Thursday.
He said all eight items listed as decisions from the meeting, which include the next general election to be called in July were false.

Hamzah, who is also the Home Minister added that the party will lodge a police report over the matter and trace the source of the message, which he described as fake news.
Among other claims in the message include Hamzah allegedly asking PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan to get his party to be the mediator between Pribumi Bersatu and Umno as well as eight more elected representatives will soon cross over to Perikatan Nasional.
