People collect water lilies in Munshiganj, Bangladesh

DHAKA : Water Lily is the national flower of Bangladesh where many people make delicious curry with the aquatic flowering plant. Many families in parts of Bangladesh specially in Munshiganj district, some 27 km south of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, survive by selling water lilies collected from ponds and canals during the monsoon season from June to October.
